Morning Light on Maple Leaves captures the essence of a serene dawn scene that unfolded after a long night of joyful painting. As I transitioned from my studio to my home, preparing for bed, the unexpected sight of the sun rising caught me by surprise. Accustomed to nocturnal work and late mornings, witnessing the oak tree outside bathed in golden light, with the street adorned in a purple hue, left me awestruck. I hurriedly snapped a photo from my window, which became the foundation for this painting. Inspired by the moment, I ventured out in my pajamas to capture more photos of the sunrise around the neighborhood.
