THE STORY BEHIND THE SPACE BETWEEN

The Space Between emerges as a poignant reflection on the interplay between observation and perception, nestled within my Abstract Collection. While distinct from the Shattered Series, it serves as a precursor, hinting at the unfolding exploration of interconnectedness that defines my artistic journey.

At its core, this piece delves into the intriguing relationship between looking and seeing, a fascination that has resonated with me since my days as a student. It seeks to unravel the enigmatic interplay between subjects and their surroundings, captivating the viewer by disrupting conventional expectations of reality.

Drawing inspiration from the natural world, the artwork subtly introduces the evolving theme of the shattered network that would later bloom in the Shattered Series. A square canvas reveals a compelling narrative—within a canvas predominantly cloaked in serene greens and deep blues, a vibrant emergence of bright orange traverses the center. This bold intrusion resonates like a sunset gently caressing the surface of a tranquil lake at night, evoking a sense of serene yet powerful beauty.

In "The Space Between," I invite you to explore the captivating dance between subject and context, challenging perceptions and inviting contemplation on the profound relationship between what we see and what lies beyond.

Preserving Legacy

Canvas

Archival-quality, acid-free natural cotton canvases meticulously stretched around 1.5" kiln-dried stretcher bars. Secured with splines for lasting tautness. Painting on all 4 edges.

Paint

I exclusively use GOLDEN paints renowned for their exceptional quality. These vibrant, filler-free paints ensure enduring, vivid hues that capture the artist's vision with remarkable depth and lasting brilliance. Trusted by artists globally, GOLDEN paints elevate artistic expression, delivering rich, enduring colors that stand the test of time.

Finishing

After meticulous drying, I add an "isolation coat" of clear acrylic paint. This is followed by a layer of museum-grade satin varnish, adding an additional protective layer. The isolation coat safeguards the painting if the varnish ever requires renewal, ensuring its long-term preservation for future generations.
