THE STORY BEHIND "I'M DONE"
I'm Done" originated from a profound emotional juncture, arising from the echoes of past toxic relationships. The canvas became a canvas of release, capturing the manipulative tactics and emotional turmoil experienced within a pivotal relationship. It started with the raw, unfiltered expression of anguish and manipulation, starkly inscribed in bold, confronting words upon the canvas.
Amidst this emotional turmoil, a vibrant and transformative process took shape. The canvas became a landscape of healing and self-empowerment. The tangled mycelium network, a signature inspiration of the Shattered Series, began to envelop and obscure the hurtful words, splashing the canvas with radiant greens, teals, warm yellows, and oranges. A striking bright pink formation stands out amidst this transformation, symbolizing a beacon of empowerment emerging from the chaos.
Each stroke of color became an act of reclamation, covering and reclaiming the hurtful words with hues representing strength, growth, and healing. The painting's narrative encapsulates a metamorphosis—an artist's journey from pain and anguish to empowerment and self-respect.
While the original painting holds immense personal significance and won't be available for sale, prints and merchandise bearing the print captures its essence eloquently, continuing to captivate and spark discussions among admirers and art enthusiasts. Finishing
After meticulous drying, I add an "isolation coat" of clear acrylic paint. This is followed by a layer of museum-grade satin varnish, adding an additional protective layer. The isolation coat safeguards the painting if the varnish ever requires renewal, ensuring its long-term preservation for future generations.
